Idea: Competitive "Pwn-off"

Has anyone thought about extending the features of when other units contact each other? I had thought up the idea that two units would compete with each other: that is, see who can “eat” the fastest/most efficiently. Then the winner of the “pwn-off” could share its AI algorithm with the other in order to improve their “eating” abilities. You could do the same for cracking too if so inclined. It would create another incentive as well as extend the friend system already implemented.

Is this even possible? Would it even be worth doing? Can it be done securely and without making a mess of the AI existing parameters?
I would love to hear thoughts about it.
